GALLOWS Announces New Singer
August 9, 2011According to Kerrang! magazine, Hertfordshire, U.K. hardcore punk rock heroes GALLOWS have announced the addition of former ALEXISONFIRE guitarist/vocalist Wade MacNeil to the group's ranks. He replaces Frank Carter, who announced his decision to quit on July 8.
"GALLOWS are one of my favorite bands, so when Steph [Carter, guitar] called me the day after Sonisphere, I said yes immediately," MacNeil tells Kerrang! "I'm a fan of the band first and foremost, so this is an honor."
GALLOWS' second full-length album and first for Sire in the USA, entitled "Grey Britain", was released on May 5, 2009. The 13 thematically-linked-song-strong album was recorded at London's RAK studios with producer Garth "GGGarth" Richardson (RISE AGAINST, RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE) and was described as even more bloody, brutal and pissed off than the band's critically acclaimed 2006 debut, "Orchestra Of Wolves".
